New Membership Agreement Form

Thank you for your interest in wanting to become a member of the Lac Bellevue and District Recreation & Agricultural Society. It is our policy that we inform prospective members of the expectations of the Society.

New members are accepted on a two year probatoinal period, as per our policy and procedures. We have many opportunities for our members to volunteer and it is strongly encouraged that you do participate when possible. All members must complete 5 volunteer hours per year to stay in good standing.

Any disrespect shown towards other members or Ag society property may be cause for suspension and your membership will then be reviewed.

An initial application fee of $10.00 is charged to new applicants.

The yearly cost of the membership is $10.00 per family or $5.00 per single member over the age of 18 years of age. This can be paid up 2 years in advance.

Lake Facility User Agreement

    It is the intent of this User Agreement to protect the User and the Lac Bellevue & District Agricultural Society, and to promote a professional working relationship between Ag Society and Lot Holder of the Lac Bellevue community. This agreement is subject to the following conditions:

    Payment and Collection of Fees for Camping

    • The camping fee per lot in the campground is $15/day for members and $30/day for non-members and probationary members. Every unit must pay this fee. Tenters must pay this fee if they are the only unit on the lot. If they are a secondary unit on a lot, there is no fee for the tent. 
    • The first unit on a lot holder’s lot will be $350 for the season. Each additional unit intending to stay on the same lot for the full season will be subject to an additional $350.  
    • Each camping unit may have one additional fridge/freezer. This additional fridge/freezer will be subject to a $50 fee for the season. 
    • Lot holders must ensure that guests pay by E-transfer or cash within an hour of parking on a lot. 
    • Members are responsible for their guests’ behaviour. Parties are to be held on the lot holder’s lot or designated area. Failure to book prior to will result in a $20.00 penalty charged to the lot holder.
    • Camping Fees for lot holders must be submitted by May 1st of the current camping season. The camping season is considered to be from May 1st to October 1st. Water will be turned on during this time period (weather permitting). Any camping outside of this time period still requires payment of the regular nightly fee. 
    • Non-members must have a member with them during their stay.
    • If you must cancel a reservation, one week’s notice is required. If you do not give proper notice of your cancellation, your payment will be non-refundable. 
    • If you are camping on a lot with a Camper/RV/Motorhome, you must pay the daily camping fee whether you are plugged in or not.

    Campground Safety & General Use

    • Speed limit within the campground is 15 km/hr for any type of vehicle. 
    • ATVs and golf carts should be used strictly for transportation purposes, for the disposal of trailer waste, or during the completion of work around the camp site Overuse of ATVs and golf carts may result in a warning letter to the lot holder.
    • Absolutely no parking on the Playground areas.
    • All dogs must be on a leash at all times within the campground. Dogs are not allowed in any area off their lot unsupervised or off leash. Dog owners are responsible for their dogs. Please clean up after your pets. 
    • Keep the North and South gates CLOSED and always LOCKED when entering and existing park.
    • Fires are allowed only in approved fire pits.
      • Fire pits must be at minimum 18″ high and 20″ – 40″ in diameter
      • There must be a minimum of 1 foot of gravel surrounding the fire pit
      • Any fire put with excessive cut outs must be on a gravel pad that has a diameter of at least 10 feet
      • All fire pits must be at least 10 feet from any trees or vegetation
      • Fire pits must be made of steel that is at minimum 1/8″ thick
      • Fire pits must not be made of galvanized culvert material
    • Fire works are allowed on the beach area only.
    • Cook shack is available to members for day use. Confirm with park caretakers for availability.
    • 5 hours of volunteer hours are needed yearly per member.

    Zero Tolerance Offences

      • Deliberate damage to our property and/or neighbouring properties.
      • Disregarding fire bans.
      • Hunting and/or using firearms within the campground.
      • Use of illegal substances within the campground.
      • Improper black and gray water disposal.
      • Lewd, disrespectful, and/or disorderly conduct towards any board member or persons within the campground. 
      • Littering of any type, including the improper disposal of cigarette butts.
      • Unauthorized tree removal.
      • No electric ice makers are permitted in the campground.
      • No electric heaters are allowed in campers, and water heaters must be switched to propane (not electric). 
      • Use of air conditioners in an empty camper will be subject to a $100 fine for a first offence. A second offence will include a warning letter to the lot holder.
      • Water must not be left running unattended.
      • No washing of ATVs or other vehicles within the beach area.

      Cleanliness Standards

          • Disposal of black and or gray water is to be disposed of properly at the campground sewage dump only. There are two different sewage tanks available to use by the shower house. Please ensure tanks are put back clean in the location you found it after use. 
          • Grass, lawn clippings, branches, ashes, and rocks removed from your lot must be disposed of properly.
          • Any domestic garbage must be hauled out to the County garbage bins located down the road from the campsite. 
          • Make sure the shower house and outhouses are left clean after each use. 
          • Members and guests are encouraged to help keep the entire park and beach clean. 
          • Campsites must be kept clean and free of clutter and waste.  
          • Wood piles must be kept clean and cannot be covered with a tarp. 
          • Jerry cans and propane tanks must not be left out year round. 
          • Artificial turf/rubber matting must be removed during the winter to prevent soil sterilization. 

          Sheds and Structures

                • Each lot may have one 12′ x 12′ shed on their lot. A wood cover is not considered a shed, and each lot may have one of these structures in addition to its main shed. 
                • These sheds must be on skids with visible tow hooks. 
                • Each lot may also have one 12′ x 12′ gazebo. These structures must be kept clean and in good working order. 
                • Each lot may have a deck that totals no more than 250 square feet. The deck should also be on skids and built in sections that can be easily removed. 
                • There will be no outhouses permitted on personal lots. 
                • Any new or additional structures must be inspected and approved by the ag society board. 

                Future Lot Improvements

                      • Any grass seed that is planted must be a “wild grass mix.” No domestic grass seed is permitted. 
                      • Non-native tree/shrub species are not permitted. Lot holders must only plant trees/shrubs which are natural, or “naturalized” to the area. 
                      • All future lot improvements (structures, firepits, tree planting, etc), must be approved by the board of directors. The board of directors will be completing compliance checks to ensure all lot holders are following the above guidance. 

                      *** Please keep noise to a minimum after 11:00 pm. Respect your neighbours and other campers.***

                      ANY FORM OF DISRESPECT — WHETHER IT BE TO ANOTHER PERSON BY MISUSE OF THE PROPERTY, OR NOT FOLLOWING THE ABOVE RULES WILL RESULT IN COSTS FOR DAMAGES BEING CHARGED TO YOU. THE BOARD WILL ALSO DETERMINE IF THERE WILL BE A LOSS OF LOT PRIVILEGES. THE DECISION OF THE BOARD WILL BE FINAL.

                      Any issues or concerns must be brought forward with a written letter or email to be addressed by the Board of Directors of the Lac Bellevue Ag Soc.

                    ConditioNs of AgreEment

                    1. Booking: We require 50% of the rental fee at the time of booking the event. The balance of rent plus full damage deposit is required six months prior to the event. This will confirm rental of the facility.
                    2. NSF Policy: NSF Cheques will cancel the rental agreement and will be subject to an NSF fee of $40.00 per cheque.
                    3. Cancellation: The Lac Bellevue and District Recreation & Agricultural Society reserves the right to withhold/charge 25% of the rental amount if the booking is cancelled within one month of the event.
                    4. Responsibility: The lessee assumes full responsibility for the facility and any damages occurring during usage and for all costs of repairing or replacing lost or damaged items. Inventory will be taken before and after every event.
                    5. Event time: The lessee is responsible to ensure function ends at the stipulated time in the agreement.
                    6. Lock-up: The lessee is responsible for properly securing and locking the facility after the function.
                    7. License: The liquor license shall be the sole responsibility of the lessee. It must be obtained from the AGLC website and posted in the bar.
                    8. Liquor Control Act: Liquor Control Act regulations, amendments, and conditions pursuant to the Alberta Liquor Control Board Regulations shall be strictly enforced. No liquor to be served to minors.
                    9. Host Liquor Liability: In the event that the Lessor has provided consent to the Lessee, their agents, employees, invitees or contractors for alcoholic beverages, of any kind, to be consumed on the premises or on the premises grounds, the Lessee acknowledges that it will purchase from a licensed insurance agent or broker a Host Liquor Liability Insurance Policy in an amount not less than $2,000,000 and shall name, as an additional insured, the Lac Bellevue and District Recreation & Agricultural Society under such policy. The Lessee agrees to provide to the Owner, or its representative, a Certificate of Insurance evidencing the coverage, prior to being granted access to the facility, as defined in the Agreement.
                      Please visit rmamember.instantrc.ca in order to attain your private insurance for your event. If this is the first time going through RMA, you must register first.
                    10. Supervision: Adequate supervision is to be always provided by the lessee with supervisors responsible for:
                      • 11.1 Not allowing attendance of individuals who are conducting themselves in an inappropriate manner.
                      • 11.2 Detaining or removing, from the facility, individuals conducting themselves in an inappropriate manner.
                      • 11.3 Ensuring that all conditions outlined in rental agreement are maintained.
                      • 11.4 Requesting assistance from the RCMP as deemed necessary.
                      • 11.5 Keeping fire exits clear at all times.
                      • 11.6 Keeping doors closed at all times allowing the air conditioning and heating systems to work efficiently.
                      • 11.7 Complete a thorough facility check to ensure no one is left in the building before locking up.
                      • 11.8 Ensure that all doors are secured before locking up.
                      • 11.9 Turn off lights and equipment after use.
                    11. Non-Smoking: The Lac Bellevue Hall is a non-smoking facility at all times.
                    12. Fires: Fires are only permitted in the designated fire pit.
                    13. Key Issue/Return: Keys are to be picked up from the facilitator at a mutually agreed date and time. Keys are to be returned the following day to the facilitator at a mutually agreed upon time between the lessee and the facilitator.
                    14. Catering: Caterers are required to comply with Public Health Regulations and Requirements. Kitchen items are not to be removed from the facility: lessee is to provide their own containers to remove food from premises.
